Trees are vital to the ecosystem. Without them, there wouldn’t be secret passages to pocket worlds, there wouldn’t be nice parks to hang out and any backyard would be a deadly place under the hot sun. And it wouldn’t provide the best activity in fall: racking leaves …
Unless they are in plastic. But as you already know, the K-Mods are everything plastic free 😀
TECHNICAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION & INSTRUCTION :
Here is what is new compare to the previous version : we kinda cracked ( a bit only ) the code. Trees swinging in the wind like it’s a dancing contest ? No more. Trees defying gravity and laws of physics by groveling into the ground ? No more.
The K-707 is neatly organized for your convenience :
- Each DLC gets 2 folders : one for plants, one for trees.
- The base game gets 4 folders ( a bit different since most of the greenery is drawn from there ) divided into lots and debug folders.
- Expansions which have very few greenies ( City, Get to Work, University ) get the same folder named : k-hippie-k707-multi-greeny-2025
- Unzip and put as is in your Mods folder.
- If you had the previous version: delete all, start over with this version.
STOP THE DRAMATIC INTRO, SPILL THE BEANS!
The K-707 Nature Mod will replace trees, flowers and hump of grass in all your worlds. It is an ongoing project, just like the K-505, there will be updates now and then. Also, this is a big project, there’s a surprise at every stone we turn.
WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE EP/GP/SP?
They are already all in! Don’t worry if you don’t have a full game, it will work all the same 🙂
WILL IT BREAK MY GAME? WILL IT SLOW IT DOWN?
It won’t break your game. But it might slow it down a bit 😕 Let’s not sugarcoat it: trees are everywhere. It does have a small impact to replace them. Again, we did, and keep doing, as much as we can to limit the impact and keep the game smooth: we even try to trim down some tress and remove useless polygons.
CAN I PICK AND CHOOSE?
Yes, but you may have some instances that will replace others.
WHERE IS GET TO WORK? UNIVERSITY? CITY LIVING?
In the Multi folder. They don’t have enough files to justify individual ones.
THE CONFLICT DETECTOR SAYS …
The Conflict Detector tells you that EA is duplicating its own work and if we were the boss of EA you wouldn’t need a Conflict Detector … *angrily staring at EA’s sloppy work* …
THESE FILES OVERRIDE THE GAME FILES AND WORK FINE IN-GAME …
